Mars Wrigley - Gainesville, GA Title: Controls Technician Required Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift 2-2-3 Rotating Shift Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday Hours: 6pm - 6:30am Job Purpose: The Controls Technician is the PCIS systems owner for the production areas and responsible for eliminating maintenance and breakdown related losses. The PCIS Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining all site equipment. Also including the following: What are we looking for? Minimum Requirements: Must have met time in role (12+ Months) Must have line manager approval to apply Must be in good standing in current role 2-year Technical Degree/Certificate (Electrical/Electronic/Controls/Automation) or equivalent experience 1 + years Instrumentation & Electrical, Electronics, and Factory Controls & IT experience, including production system troubleshooting and problem resolution 1 + years experience in a controls function, working in a manufacturing environment Physical Requirements: Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs) Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling and gripping Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift). Ability to read, write and speak English Preferred Qualifications: 2-year Technical Degree (Electrical/Electronic/Controls/Automation) 2+ years Instrumentation & Electrical, Electronics, or Factory Controls & IT experience, including production system troubleshooting and problem resolution Server Administration, Virtual Infrastructure Administration, & Database Administration knowledge Possess or can obtain Operational Electrical Qualification Certificate (must be able to work independently on live electrical panels) What will be your Key Responsibilities? Excellent communication skills required Demonstrate the ability to analyze and test applications for Factory Control systems Good understanding of Rockwell 5000 and Siemens Step 7 Controls Systems environments including ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Factory Talk, and Step 7. Ability to work well with user departments to provide operational support in the use of HMI terminals, along with software applications on Control Systems Understanding of industrial networks including, but not limited to, Ethernet, Profibus, and ProfiNet Ability to troubleshoot programs residing in Siemens, and/or Rockwell Automation PLC Control Systems preferred In-depth knowledge of installation, programming, and troubleshooting of VFDs, Servo Drives, and sensors. Must have strong electrical troubleshooting skills of complex industrial manufacturing equipment Field service experience preferred This role will operate in a team of 4 to troubleshoot and repair all electrical machine stops throughout the factory Allergies: if you have an allergy to soy lecithin, please let the recruiter know in your initial screen.
