Controls Technician-2nd Shift
About The Position
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Frontline resource for day-to-day troubleshooting of controls issues Assist other departments in troubleshooting and determining production issues Install and swap out damaged electrical or automation equipment Perform emergency controls troubleshooting and fixes on equipment and facility systems Assist Controls Engineers with projects and implementing improvements Aid in the installation of equipment, repairs, upgrades, panel building, and wiring as needed Understand all automation equipment used throughout the plant Ensure work is being completed professionally and to Therma-Tru Controls department standards
Requirements
- Experience or background in control systems or coding
- High school diploma or GED
- Computer literate
- Ability to read blueprints and machine control schematics
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a group
- Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as needed
Nice To Haves
- Post-secondary electrical and/or mechanical vocational training
- Knowledge and experience of Rockwell Software and Allen Bradley controllers
- Ability to navigate via PLC operation sequence, I/O information, and instrumentation feedback
- Knowledge of Fanuc robotics
