The Controls Technician Intern role at Trane Technologies involves assisting BAS Control Technicians in programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and starting up HVAC systems in a commercial environment. The intern will work with a diverse commercial base, including healthcare, manufacturing, education, and office complexes, while utilizing knowledge of air conditioning theory and HVAC systems. Responsibilities
- Assist BAS Control Technicians in programming and commissioning HVAC systems.
- Utilize cutting-edge software and technology to follow blueprints or engineering specifications.
- Enforce safety standards and maintain accountability of company assets.
- Demonstrate flexibility to meet business needs and support team efforts.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be enrolled or to be enrolled in a technical program, preferably HVAC/EMS.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Working proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
- Valid Driver's License with no major traffic violations in the last 3 years.
