This role is supporting our AmerisourceBergen business, which offers supply chain services to healthcare providers and health systems in the United States. Under general supervision of the Systems Manager, responsible for supporting the effective use and functionality of the automated equipment within a fully automated Distribution Center.

Requirements

  • Some technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 1 to 2 years related and progressively responsible experience; strong electrical background preferred.
  • Strong technical and operational knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD layouts, illustrated parts breakdown (IPB) diagrams, and electrical circuitry diagrams and drawings.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills; attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to identify facilities-related maintenance problems and implement standard courses of action.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Test, replace or repair electrical systems including single phase or three phase electrical systems up to 600 volts.
  • Work with AC or DC motors, power supplies, frequency drives, servo drives, transformers, motor starters, proximity sensors, encoders, photo eyes, programmable logic Controllers (PLC), HMI's, PLC Inputs/Outputs.
  • Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC ladder and block logic.
  • Load programs or configure PLC's, HMI, and scanners.
  • Complete testing of equipment and instrumentation systems including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration, and water treatment chemicals.
  • Complete the installation and setup of computer hardware including hard drives, RAM, network cards, monitor cards, and motherboards.
  • Utilize MS Office (Excel, Word, IM) and MHE software such as RSLogix, Sort Director, GSMi, IPoint, Flex Sort.
  • Ensure compliance with all division, corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all facility equipment and systems.
  • Diagnose Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking System-related error conditions and repair appropriately.
  • Oversee maintenance, modifications, and/or system upgrades of Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking System controls.
  • Assess the efficiency of materials handling equipment and automated picking systems and define necessary modifications.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure continued productivity with warehouse operations.
  • Maintain CMMS/EAM system on repairs required and performed on equipment in the Distribution Center.
  • Manage the inventory of spare parts.
