About The Position

The Controls Technician/Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, modifying and maintaining all plant equipment. Primary responsibilities include the design, sourcing, installing, and implementation of electronic equipment as well as PLC programming.

Requirements

  • Excellent mechanical and troubleshooting skills and the ability to use all necessary test equipment.
  • Must be able to work as a part of a team in a team-based work environment.
  • Experience with electronics and PLC programming.
  • NFPA 70E Arc flash safety training preferred.
  • First aid certification preferred.
  • Valid electrical license is a plus.
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues with production equipment.
  • Recommend and maintain electrical and electronic spare parts for production equipment.
  • Improve processes with electrical and electronic design modifications.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to equipment modifications as well as equipment failures.
  • Oversight of electronic component repair and to be able to recommend outsourcing when needed.
  • Maintain and update calibration data to satisfy accuracy requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance on production equipment as well as support infrastructure and facilities as required.
  • Train other team members on electronic devices when required.
  • Assists production team with operational tasks as needed or when maintenance activities are not going on.
  • Each associate is responsible for following the guidelines and intentions of the Quality and Environmental, Health and Safety policies by performing quality work while minimizing waste.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
