The Controls Technician is the PCIS systems owner for the production areas and responsible for eliminating maintenance and breakdown related losses. The PCIS Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining all site equipment.
Maintain in-depth contact with users to gather information processing on problems or requirements.
Analyze and test applications for Factory Control systems.
Demonstrate a good understanding of Rockwell 5000 and Siemens Step 7 Controls Systems environments including ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Factory Talk, Step 7, and thin-client technologies.
Provide operational support in the use of HMI terminals, including thin client, along with software applications on Control Systems.
Troubleshoot programs residing in Siemens, and/or Rockwell Automation PLC Control Systems in the plant.
Install, program, and troubleshoot VFDs, Servo Drives, and sensors.
Must have met time in role (12+ Months).
Must have line manager approval to apply.
Must be in good standing in current role.
2-year Technical Degree/Certificate (Electrical/Electronic/Controls/Automation) or equivalent experience.
1+ years Instrumentation & Electrical, Electronics, and Factory Controls & IT experience, including production system troubleshooting and problem resolution.
1+ years experience in a controls function, working in a manufacturing environment.
2+ years Instrumentation & Electrical, Electronics, or Factory Controls & IT experience, including production system troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Server Administration, Virtual Infrastructure Administration, & Database Administration knowledge.
Possess or can obtain Operational Electrical Qualification Certificate (must be able to work independently on live electrical panels).
