About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Controls Technician - 2nd Shift to join our team located in Rice Lake, WI. The hourly wage for this position starts at $25/hr + $3/hr shift differential. 1st Shift hours are 2:30pm - 11:00pm.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of on-the-job experience in a related field or a 2-year technical degree.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Proficient in using maintenance tools and equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of industrial controls and wiring practices.
• Understanding of PLC, HMI, and variable speed drive programming and installation.

Responsibilities

• Complete basic PMs and perform basic mechanical and fabrication skills.
• Assemble and/or install most pneumatic valves, FLRs, plumbing air piping, and/or solenoid valving.
• Understand fluid power basics and integrate them into machines.
• Troubleshoot effectively and use correct measurement tools to identify problems.
• Maintain existing documentation and develop new documents as needed.
• Perform basic fabrication and maintenance with instruction.
