About The Position

Controls Systems Engineer The Opportunity: This is an exciting opportunity to support the design, construction, and startup of new process and manufacturing facilities. This facility serves a critical in role manufacturing and testing energetic systems. Your role would be to support the development of new chemical and process pilots and production plants as part of this effort. Assist in integration of process controls into these state of the art facilities to maximize the ability to control the manufacturing processes. Design and document control systems layouts and electrical connections. Work with cross functional teams, including design, to integrate industrial control components, including programmable logic controllers (PLC), building controls, and human machine interface (HMI). Develop bills of materials, guides, and manuals for process and manufacturing systems. Perform commissioning and qualification testing, maintenance and modifications on new and existing process equipment. Join us. The world can't wait.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with Siemens industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA platforms, in an ICS environment
  • Experience in a production environment and in construction environments involved in process manufacturing
  • Experience designing automation control systems from customer specifications and installing, maintaining, servicing, testing, and troubleshooting local and field control devices, ICS hardware, and ICS software
  • Experience with industrial controls communications protocols
  • Experience developing bills of materials and documentation for projects
  • Knowledge of electrical drawings, control diagrams, and basic system network design, installation, and configuration
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control Systems, Control and Automation Engineering, or Systems Engineering

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with distributed control systems and remote terminal units
  • Experience with multiple industrial processes, including chemical processes, power, refinery, or manufacturing
  • Experience with energetics
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including NEC, IEEE, NFPA, or OSHA, as well as government design and construction standards
  • Knowledge of the UL 508A standard
