About The Position

The Controls Software Engineer I is an individual contributor position within the Toyota Automated Logistics Controls group. This position is responsible for tasks relating to the design, development, and implementation of shared services that support other Controls engineering teams. The Controls Software Engineer I collaborates closely with their team leader and peers, ensuring that all products and services meet or exceed customer expectations. This role serves a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, supply chain logistics, and engineering.

Requirements

BS degree in either an engineering or computer science discipline.
Experience within the primary focus area with proficiency in database experience (SQL)
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite tools
Strong team collaboration skills
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines effectively.
Highly motivated and results-driven
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
Employees must follow all information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report any suspected security incidents to support our information security controls.

Nice To Haves

Material Handling experience
Understanding of PLC programming
Proficiency in emulation software/SCADA software
Capable of interpreting field device layouts (P&ID, machine schematics, etc.)
Attend training and become certified in applications or tools used within the team. Ignition Core/Gold
Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently in a fast-moving environment.
