About The Position

Our client, a well-established building controls and energy management company, is looking to expand their Service Team by adding a new Technician in Jacksonville, FL. Majority of their clients are within the Greater Jacksonville area allowing for a better work/life balance with limited extended travel. Aside from being home practically every night, you will benefit from a more inclusive, people-first company environment. Whether you have been working for a company supporting their building maintenance or have more experience within automation controls, this would be a great fit for someone with a strong electrical aptitude. Someone who has troubleshooted electrical or mechanical systems with experience using multimeters. For any gaps in experience, they offer a vigorous training program that allows you to get up to speed on all their equipment and service offerings. Important Note: Their customers are fairly concentrated in the Jacksonville area. The most extensive travel will be to Savannah and Thomasville, GA or to the Orlando and Tallahassee area.

Requirements

  • Experience servicing & troubleshooting building systems required
  • Strong electrical aptitude with experience using multimeters required
  • Field travel (typically local) required

Responsibilities

  • Service environmental-control and building systems (HVAC, lighting, etc.)
  • Check and verify a variety of sensors (temperature, amps, static pressure, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and repair system issues to ensure operational efficiency
  • Perform system diagnostics and calibrations to maintain peak performance
  • Review and interpret electrical schematic wiring diagrams
  • Travel to client sites (75%) and provide remote diagnostics when possible
  • Ensure equipment safety standards and maintain safe work environments
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and external clients
  • Participate in on-call rotation (typically, once every fifth week)
  • Pursue ongoing education and training to expand BAS skills
