About The Position

Benchmark Automation & Controls, the Mid-Atlantic’s premier specialist in energy management and automation, is seeking a Controls Technician in the Baltimore, MD and Northern VA area! The ideal candidate is a technically strong, customer-focused professional who can manage a skilled team of technicians, ensure top-quality service delivery, and drive overall operational excellence. What we hope you bring to the table: • Experience: 4+ years in an industry-related field, including HVAC Systems and DDC Systems • Know-How: Deep understanding of BAS control components, control strategies, and programming. • Software Proficiency: Tridium Certification and Distech experience would be a plus, but not a requirement. What you’ll do: • Provide expert service to our existing EMS/BAS systems to ensure optimal performance. • Dive into service installation projects, from sensor and relay upgrades to programming tweaks and controller replacements, always pushing the boundaries of what's possible. • Conduct proactive preventive maintenance visits, safeguarding our systems and ensuring they operate flawlessly. • Partner with our service team to troubleshoot, resolve, and verify service issues, ensuring seamless operations. • Hone your programming skills to become a self-sufficient service guru, ready to handle any challenge, even when remote support isn't available.
