About The Position

This position is responsible for tasks relating to the design, development, and implementation of shared services that support other Controls engineering teams. The Controls SCADA Developer collaborates closely with their team leader and peers, ensuring that all products and services meet or exceed customer expectations. This role serves a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, supply chain logistics, and engineering.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Material handling experience
  • Understanding of PLC programming
  • Proficiency in emulation software/SCADA software
  • Proficiency in database applications
  • Capable of interpreting field device layouts (P&ID, machine schematics, etc.)
  • Attend training and become certified in applications or tools used within the team. Ignition Core/Gold
  • Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently in a fast-moving environment

Responsibilities

  • Designs and implements new SCADA modules with minimal supervision
  • Leverages programming expertise to develop efficiency tools that optimize daily engineering tasks. Skills will be working with SQL and then other platforms (C#, Python, Java)
  • Worked with scripting languages (Python,Javascript etc)
  • Coordinates with engineers across disciplines to facilitate effective system integration and testing
  • Provides cross-functional support to project teams, contributing beyond the scope of Controls when needed
  • Work with Controls Project Manager and Controls SCADA Lead and assist with overall project execution.
  • Conduct full scope of controls project services as outlined in the overview above
  • Communication with managers, team members, suppliers.
  • Development of SCADA projects focus on non-standard SCADA applications like Ignition, custom WMS interfaces, direct connections to external databases and focus on custom scripting applications.
  • On-site installation and testing of completed SCADA projects.
  • Develop processes to help support our team growth.
  • Solve problems for our team and customers.
  • Attend weekly Controls meetings and other scheduled meetings on time.
