About The Position

The Controls Sales Manager will lead a team of experienced outside sales professionals at Automated Logic, focusing on selling HVAC and building control systems. This role involves developing sales strategies, coaching the sales team, and ensuring that sales objectives are met while fostering relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales management and leadership.
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC controls or related technical sales.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Experience in the BioPharm/lab/pharmaceutical construction/fit out market.
  • Ability to value engineer control designs with alternative solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 360 applications.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales team in selling Automated Logic offerings to engineers, contractors, and building owners.
  • Maximize gross margin, return on sales, revenue, and growth objectives for the sales team.
  • Develop and train the sales team on established sales processes, tools, and standards.
  • Provide consistent sales coaching through one-on-one meetings, customer sales calls, and strategic opportunity reviews.
  • Establish clear performance expectations for the sales team and assess their performance regularly.
  • Analyze market conditions and current business performance to execute growth strategies.
  • Build relationships with contractors, engineers, and owners to drive sales of Automated Logic products and services.
  • Review bids, estimates, and proposals for accuracy and quality.
  • Utilize sales tools effectively to document progress and increase business opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and maintain high business ethics.
