Position Summary: "Launch" is our new pathway for graduates stepping directly into permanent roles. The program is designed for ambitious graduates (Bachelors, Masters or PhD level) who are ready to make an impact from day one, supported with on the job learning and career progression opportunities. Rolls-Royce works on a broad range of products, from aerospace engines (for military and civilian customers) to propulsion systems for trains and boats, to power infrastructure for use in a range of different environments. What you'll be doing: You'll join an engaged, multi-disciplinary team of engineers who can help you understand the IT infrastructure, platform engineering and system administration required to assist our broad range of development teams supporting our military and civilian customers. You'll also have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience, while contributing to addressing some of the most important and challenging programs in our portfolio. In this role, you'll be based in the Electrical, Electronics, Software, Control System Design, and System Security (E24S) group. This group is part of the Rolls-Royce Engineering, Technology and Safety business capability and the central home for engineering skills in the Rolls-Royce group. E24S is made of a diverse group of engineering areas covering: Software (traditional and model-base), Systems, Electronics, Electrical Power and System Security. We work closely together in the design, integration, testing, in-service support and supply chain management to ensure our customers' needs are met. Controls Operations Engineers work on a wide variety of projects to support Rolls-Royce's diverse customer base in areas including, but not limited to: maintaining IT infrastructure, interacting with a global IT and program development teams, investigating, developing and implementing new features that improve efficiency, productivity, or security of our mission critical data. You'll also be supporting the existing development environment through its lifecycle, including diagnosing issues, maintaining various systems and designing for future growth demands. Opportunities in this role include but are not limited to developing IT and security infrastructure requirements with internal customers, solving platform integration issues, and working with the various supported teams in creating effective solutions.
