Requires experience with Building Automation systems, direct digital controls (DDC), DDC interfaces, and DDC mechanical point monitoring within a Building Automation network. Requirements

  • Four or more years experience in HVAC Digital Controls.
  • High school level education or equivalent.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • All External candidates require an S-2 License and an OSHA 10 Certificate.
  • Ability to read, write, follow written instructions.
  • Handle mathematics pertinent to the job.
  • Climb ladders and scaffolding in excess of eight (8) feet.
  • Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling and/or squatting.
  • Work in confined areas; sustained overhead work.
  • Work outside in all types of weather.
  • Move both arms and shoulders in full and extended motion while working with heavy tools.
  • Move, assemble, lift or carry furniture, equipment, tools and materials of up to fifty (50) pounds without assistance.
  • Drive.

Responsibilities

  • Performs assignments under limited supervision.
  • Directs the work of employees under the direction of the supervisor.
  • Under the direction of the supervisor, assume general responsibility for the completion of assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Determines the manpower and material requirements and the means and methods to be used in accomplishing work assignments and recommend changes.
  • Secures materials, supplies and equipment.
  • Diagnoses, services and repairs pneumatic, electric and local electronic control systems associated with building HVAC systems using prints and schematics; retrofit and install local electrical, electronic and pneumatic control systems including wiring and tubing; an appropriately trained incumbent diagnose building related problems via the automation system, maintains and installs automation systems hardware and field equipment. Uses application software and color graphics related to the automation systems and inform automation system analysts of all field changes.
  • Maintains clean work area and/or clean job site.
  • Trains lower grade employees using various training methods available to him.
  • Observes safety standards and practices.
  • Performs related duties as required or assigned within job classification.
