About The Position

We are looking for a Controls Integrator that will be responsible for designing, programming, and implementing control systems for industrial automation projects. This role integrates hardware and software solutions to optimize manufacturing and process operations, ensuring reliability, safety, and efficiency. The integrator will work with Process Engineers to develop control logic and program PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial networks to execute a controls design. The integrator will travel to project sites to implement, test, and execute the control system in the field. The integrator will design and modify electrical, network, and software system drawings, testing automation systems, and prepare essential project documentation. The role also requires familiarity with industrial communication networks, and the ability to interpret electrical schematics and Process and Instrumentation drawings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Control Systems Engineering or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial automation and control systems design.
  • Hands-on experience with major automation platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, GE).
  • Knowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematic drawings.
  • Experience with Network, OT & Communications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software tools.
  • Ability to travel to client sites at manager discretion or as business needs dictate

  • Ignition programming a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop control systems for industrial automation projects.
  • Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and related automation platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Inductive Automation, etc.).
  • Integrate control systems with mechanical and electrical components.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for control systems, including schematics and programming logic.
  • Conduct on-site testing, troubleshooting, and validation of control systems.
  • Collaborate with field commissioning teams to ensure smooth implementation and reduce commissioning time.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct risk & hazard assessments and safety audits on automation systems.
  • Provide technical support during installation and post-implementation phases.
  • Participate in project planning and design reviews.
  • Travel to project sites as needed for implementation and commissioning (25-50%).
  • Prepare project documentation such as SOOs, control logic narratives, cause & effect diagrams, loops & alarms documents, O&M Manuals
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Cross training is required.
