The Controls Engineer position involves designing, developing, installing, and maintaining equipment used to monitor and control engineering systems and processes. The role requires assisting in creating and following an electrical design schedule from specification concept to system completion while adhering to an overall project schedule. Responsibilities include testing, evaluating, modifying, and calibrating products and instruments, analyzing plant processes, and implementing improvements. The engineer will troubleshoot hardware and process issues, analyze project requirements, and perform technical calculations supporting design, including electrical requirements and robotic safety standards. Ensuring compliance with safety objectives and legal requirements is crucial, as is the development of production drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM). The engineer will also inspect power envelopes from suppliers, develop PLC programs, and perform engineering tests to ensure project specifications are met. Additionally, the role involves supporting the field engineering team during the startup stage and preparing operation manuals for customer use.
