Candidate must be a flexible, results-oriented problem-solver. Projects generally vary from one to the next, therefore our engineers must thrive on variety and enjoy taking on new challenges. Palmer is a global company specializing in the production of heavy-duty no-bake foundry equipment. Our company provides sales, service, and support to customers in the United States and numerous countries worldwide. We are searching for a qualified candidate to fill our Electrical Controls Engineer position. Position responsibilities include but are not limited to: Create and maintain electrical drawings for new and current models Layout of electrical control cabinets Work with engineering department to keep systems current with technology and electrical standards Write PLC programs for industrial equipment Assist production with proper techniques for electrical control panel wiring and PLC programming Assist with design and development of electrical software programs for new and upgrades of current products Work with customers, service team, and engineering team on solving technical problems and training Some customer support travel required (estimated 10%); daily on-site when not traveling
