About The Position

Robotics Engineer Position Overview We are seeking a Robotics Engineer to support and continuously improve robotic systems within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is highly plant-facing and focused on sustaining daily production by troubleshooting robotic issues, improving system reliability, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across welding, material handling, and dispensing applications. The Robotics Engineer will partner closely with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to ensure safe, stable, and efficient operations. Senior Controls Engineer Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to ensure maximum uptime and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing systems. This role is responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and improving PLCs, HMIs, robots, vision systems, and related automation equipment. The Senior Controls Engineer will play a critical role in driving reliability, safety, and production efficiency while partnering closely with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting robotic systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Fanuc robots .
  • Proven troubleshooting skills in high-volume or fast-paced production settings.
  • Experience with welding, material handling, and/or dispensing robotic applications.
  • Ability to work onsite and support production-driven priorities.
  • 7+ years of experience in controls or automation engineering within manufacturing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with PLCs and HMIs (Rockwell / Allen-Bradley preferred).
  • Experience supporting robots and integrated automation systems.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues under production pressure.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive or similar high-volume manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with vision systems or adhesive dispensing systems.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement, PFMEA, or Lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Automotive or high-volume manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with vision systems, safety systems, and industrial networks.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily production by troubleshooting and resolving robotic issues to minimize downtime.
  • Sustain and improve Fanuc robotic systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Teach, adjust, and optimize robot TCPs, frames, payloads, and safety configurations.
  • Configure and maintain robot I/O, communication protocols, and interfaces with peripheral equipment.
  • Optimize robot programs and paths to improve cycle time, throughput, and reliability.
  • Support welding, material handling, and dispensing robotic applications.
  • Implement running changes and validate modifications with minimal impact to production.
  • Partner with maintenance, production, and quality teams to investigate failures and drive corrective actions.
  • Document robot programs, backups, and change history.
  • Train and mentor technicians on robotic troubleshooting and best practices.
  • Support and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robots, vision systems, and automation equipment to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Implement running changes and continuous improvements to controls and automation systems.
  • Analyze automation and controls issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Improve system reliability, safety, and performance in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Support commissioning, validation, and optimization of automation equipment.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to support daily operations.
  • Develop and maintain controls documentation, standards, and backups.
  • Mentor technicians and junior engineers on controls and automation best practices.
