Are you looking for a rewarding career? Position Overview We are seeking a Controls Engineer with experience in natural gas facilities to design, implement, and support advanced control systems. This role will focus on PLC control system design, programming, integration, and on-site commissioning for gas processing and distribution operations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise and hands-on field experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Controls Engineering
Minimum of 2 years of controls engineering experience.
Experience in natural gas pipeline, oil & gas, or industrial manufacturing environments preferred.
Strong proficiency in PLC programming.
Experience developing HMIs and working with SCADA systems.
Familiarity with industrial networking and communication protocols.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field and office environments.
Commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and commission PLC systems for natural gas facilities, including platforms such as Allen Bradley Logix, Siemens PCS7, DeltaV.
Develop and implement control strategies to optimize gas processing operations.
Create and maintain P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams).
Develop control narratives, loop diagrams, and network architecture documentation.
Develop user operation and maintenance documentation for field service techs and end-user customers.
Ensure designs align with project specifications and operational requirements.
Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing control systems.
Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams.
Provide training to other team members and customers on installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and operation of designed systems.
Identify and implement system improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Ensure systems comply with applicable industry standards
Support safety reviews, hazard analyses, and compliance audits.
Perform and assist others with on-site commissioning and startup activities.
Oversee installation and testing of control panels and field instrumentation.
Travel to project sites as required, estimated up to 40%.
