Schedule: Monday–Friday
Compensation: $90,000 – $119,600 annually

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controls Engineer to design, implement, and support industrial control systems that drive efficiency, reliability, and performance across manufacturing operations. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in controls engineering or industrial automation
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming, SCADA, and HMI systems
• Strong understanding of control theory including PID, DCS, and process control systems
• Knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control panel design
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Function Block, or Structured Text
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel for system installations or troubleshooting as needed
• Availability for occasional on-call support
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Control Engineering or related field
• Experience with advanced control techniques such as Model Predictive Control (MPC)
• Knowledge of ISA, IEC, or other relevant industry standards
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Familiarity with data analytics or machine learning applications in automation
• Experience with control platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or ABB
• Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink or similar
• Understanding of communication protocols including Modbus, OPC, and Ethernet/IP
• Ability to use CAD software for control system layouts and panel design

Responsibilities

• Design and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for industrial automation
• Evaluate existing processes and develop strategies to improve performance and reliability
• Analyze system and process data to identify optimization opportunities
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems, instrumentation, and electrical components
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support operational goals
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
• Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations, updates, and procedures
• Support system installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities as needed
