To build on this team, we are searching for a Controls Engineer. This role requires collaboration within a project team to design and program controls systems per project specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical experience
  • Familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and other program/design systems including HMI, PLC, robots, motion control, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Work as part of a team or independently with direction from Lead Controls Engineer or Manager
  • Demonstrated skill in machine de-bug
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective customer service skills
  • Travel minimum 20% may be required domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and document controls systems for various types of automated equipment
  • Generate and verify configuration data for machines
  • Utilize AutoCAD to produce electrical layouts and schematic drawings
  • Coordinate machine de-bug, power up, and validation with project team members
  • Ensure equipment design and program meet internal and external specifications
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with all departments during various project phases
  • Communicate with all departments on project progress and status
  • Document and communicate machine changes and issues
