The Opportunity This position works out of our Altavista, VA location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technical Field
  • Minimum 2 years Engineering experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an FDA Regulated environment.
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes and technologies and designing for manufacturability.

Responsibilities

  • PLC programming and troubleshooting in Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix or Modicon platforms
  • HMI/SCADA programming and troubleshooting in Ignition, FactoryTalk View SE/ME, iFix, DeltaV
  • Install and troubleshoot temperature / pressure / level / conductivity / PH instrumentation, sensors, and other field I/O devices
  • Provide technical support on design, development, implementation, optimization, and validation of processing and packaging equipment
  • Maintain knowledge of new developments in manufacturing and design technologies.
  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies and operating procedures.
