Wherever there is a need for motive power, EnerSys offers the perfect energy solution.  Job PurposeResponsible for design, development, evaluation, analysis, selecting and ordering equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products and systems.  Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment/processes/systems.  Keeps current on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.  Studies equipment performance and reliability.  Provides advanced technical support to operations and other disciplines within engineering organization.  Identifies, develops and recommends processes needed to produce specific products and components. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Strong PLC programming/troubleshooting (Allen Bradley & Modicon), Robot programming/troubleshooting (Adept & Fanuc), Electrical Code

  • BS degree or equivalent experience in engineering.
  • College level written and verbal English skills
  • College level Geometry, Algebra, and Trigonometry
  • Strong Root cause and abstract problem solving, visualization and quality tools
  • Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Planning, analytical, assertive, and interact with various groups

Nice To Haves

  • Lean, Six Sigma or project management certification helpful

Responsibilities

  • Manage approved engineering projects
  • Develop and implement PLC and Robot logic changes
  • Provide technical support to maintenance and operations
  • Develop and coordinate electrical control equipment build, installation and training
