As part of the Operational Excellence (OpX) Automation Team, the Controls Engineer is responsible for ensuring the automation for the production line operates in an efficient manner, troubleshooting down equipment using RCCA, implement process improvements, and improve data collection and processing. The Controls Engineer will also be supporting incoming automated equipment. You will be working with cross-functional teams daily and reporting out projects to all levels of site management. Familiar with the programming of automated systems. Generate new and maintain existing Ignition dashboards. Support existing automated equipment from a controls programming perspective. Support new equipment purchases to align to machine specifications. Analyzes statistical data to support manufacturing decisions. Coordinates multiple manufacturing and automation projects. Plans sequences of operations, estimates time required, creates schedules and reviews process sheets. Investigates, establishes, and implements requirements for equipment, tooling, and material, including make or buy decisions and facility layout as required for new or revised products. Investigates and troubleshoots manufacturing problems. Provides technical support for operations.
