About The Position

This job may be eligible for relocation benefits. Onsite -This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Lockport, New York, on a full-time basis. The Role: The Controls Engineer is an Individual contributor with recognized expertise responsible for troubleshooting, problem solving and continuous improvement on manufacturing equipment throughout the plant.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or 4+ equivalent experience
  • Ability to work off shift on a full-time basis
  • Ability to work OT as needed

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of demonstrated technical knowledge of electrical/control systems and ability to apply these concepts within a manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years of experience in Control Architectures: - PLC: Allen Bradley - Robotics: Fanuc / ABB - Vision: Cognex / Keyence
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Knowledge of high voltage power distribution
  • Knowledge of servo motors, motion control and drives
  • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical concepts involving machine designs, process requirements involved in the manufacturing process
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Ability to use computers, interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and learn new systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and significantly complex projects and assignments with high level of autonomy and accountability for results

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with diverse teams throughout the plant to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Identify and document system vulnerabilities and develop inclusive mitigation plans; track corrective actions to ensure accountability.
  • Design and manage key strategic interfaces within systems to promote component reuse and consistency with best practices.
  • Create and implement tests to efficiently identify opportunities for design improvements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
