The position involves designing, maintaining, implementing, and improving machine control systems. The candidate will perform a wide range of engineering tasks using computer-assisted design and engineering software. Collaboration with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders is essential to evaluate and discuss existing or potential projects. The role also includes preparing technical drawings and electrical system specifications to ensure compliance with standards, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical equipment, and working closely with a variety of technicians to support operations.

  • Design, maintain, implement, and improve machine control systems.
  • Perform a wide range of engineering tasks using computer-assisted design and engineering software.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders to evaluate and discuss existing or potential projects.
  • Prepare technical drawings and electrical system specifications to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment.
  • Work closely with a variety of technicians to support operations.
  • Strong background with Rockwell ControlLogix, FactoryTalk View, and PowerFlex drives.
  • Experience with Ethernet and Ethernet/IP.
  • Familiarity with ControlNet, DeviceNet, and Modbus.
  • Knowledge of plant power systems, NEC code, and pipe/wire sizing.
  • Experience with AutoCAD LT and interpreting electrical drawings.
  • Experience in control panel design.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with metal processing equipment is a plus.
