The Controls Engineer at Balchem Corporation is responsible for managing capital expenditures on the Verona site, including design, installation, safety, and cost management. This role involves daily responsibilities such as solutions implementation and support of production, planning and coordinating technical design and engineering implementation of project work in compliance with PSM, SQF, and GMP procedures. The engineer will assist in maintaining and upgrading the plant's PLC control system and network, and will play a key role in Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) compliance. The position requires coordination with various plant departments and external vendors, as well as the development of innovative solutions to improve production efficiency, safety, and quality. The engineer will also supervise outside contractors when necessary and provide leadership on selected projects.
