About The Position

The Controls Engineer at Adient Greenfield will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of the plant's operations. This position involves working closely with the maintenance team to ensure the smooth integration and modification of equipment, as well as troubleshooting and maintaining existing systems. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and collaborative, with a strong focus on process improvement.

Requirements

• Associates degree or equivalent training.
• 3-5 years of experience in an engineering role.
• Knowledge of PLC programming (Allen Bradley RS5, RS500, ControlLogix, Siemens Step 7, TIA Portal, PILZ Safety PLC).
• HMI programming knowledge (Intellution IFIX, Wonderware In Touch).
• Robot programming knowledge (Motoman, Fanuc).
• Experience with AutoCad and plant layout.
• Ability to read electrical prints.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Make modifications to PLC and robot programming.
• Install new equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot current equipment to minimize downtime.
• Work closely with the maintenance team for equipment maintenance and new equipment integration.
• Maintain and modify plant drawings using AutoCad.
• Complete projects during planned downtime, requiring overtime.
