About The Position

Your Opportunity: We are looking for a highly motivated Engineering student to join our team as a Controls Engineer Co-op from May- December 2026. What You’ll Be Doing: This co-op supports the Automation and Controls team at the Machine Development Center by assisting with machine design, programming, wiring, and project management support. This role provides exposure to automation development and hands-on experience in one of the most high-tech environments in the region.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program and on track to graduate within the next two years in engineering, electromechanical or electrical technician.
  • A curious mindset with a strong interest in improving processes and finding better ways of working.
  • Exposure to or coursework in: Electrical design Automation and controls programming Electrical power
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel)

Responsibilities

  • Electrical panel and machine wiring, including reading and interpreting schematics to support project builds and testing
  • Developing Bills of Material, ensuring accuracy, and assisting with ordering necessary parts
  • Shadowing technicians and engineers to learn troubleshooting methods and support programming assignments
  • Supporting design development, project quoting, and planning activities to gain exposure to the full project lifecycle
