Dematic is looking to build upon our Co-Op Program and bring on a student for our Controls Engineering team! We offer a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the field of engineering. As a Controls Engineer Co-Op, you will provide assistance in routine planning and execution of engineering activities. You will be assigned to a project implementation team and will work closely with the Controls CAD team to assist in the development of layout and electrical schematic drawings using Maestro and AutoCAD-E. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation of Bill of Material creation and gain familiarity with various controls components used in system design. You will also learn the basics of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and how to program them, and may travel to North American job sites to assist with commissioning equipment and systems. This role will require you to seek advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from others, and to identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex.
