About The Position

The Gen>NEXTer position is a co-op role within the Technical Planning/Engineering team, focusing on Quality Engineering in the manufacturing and production processes for new products and car models. The role emphasizes active student engagement, allowing interns to take on specific responsibilities and contribute to various projects, enhancing their learning experience and personal growth.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
• Completed at least 30 credit hours at the time of application.
• Ability to complete 3 co-op work terms.
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
• Good communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Organized and able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
• MS Office knowledge required.
• Basic CAD knowledge (preferred Catia).

Nice To Haves

• Excel macro knowledge.
• Familiarity with Sharepoint and Apex.

Responsibilities

• Support existing vehicle production processes and new model industrialization.
• Contribute to the concept and development of process quality targets and production line design.
• Participate in design reviews of new model tooling.
• Evaluate processes for overall production output, including cycle time and availability.
• Manage projects and suppliers effectively.
• Work on innovation and digitalization topics for the Technical Quality Planning Department.
