About The Position

As Controls & Automation Engineer you will lead programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated systems across the plant. This role supports continuous improvement, equipment upgrades, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance manufacturing performance. Manage programming and electrical maintenance of automated equipment (CNC, robotics, HVAC, furnaces, utility systems). Collaborate with Engineering and CI teams to design and implement automation solutions. Lead integration and optimization of control systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI, Ladder Logic). Provide technical guidance and training for maintenance teams. Drive performance improvements through advanced manufacturing technologies. Oversee project management for automation and engineering initiatives. Support EHS compliance including MESH and ISO14001 standards. Stay current with industry trends and pursue ongoing training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment with experience in controls and automation
  • Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Controls Engineering or degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience with Honeywell HC900 or similar hybrid control platforms
  • Proficiency in Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, RSLogix, and FactoryTalk View
  • Experience with Modbus RTU, RS485, Ethernet/IP, and field device integration
  • Experience in CAD using both 2D and 3D (i.e. Inventor, Pro-E, etc)
  • Experience in machining operations including expertise in automated manufacturing systems, robotics, and industrial control technologies (Ladder Logic, PLC, SCADA, HMI)
  • Experience implementing alarm strategies, HMI graphics, and SCADA-level integration.
