About The Position

As a Controls Analyst, you will partner closely with leaders across Servicing, Collections, and Originations to support the full lending lifecycle. You will collaborate with Operations and Compliance teams to ensure alignment with lending regulations, compliance requirements, collection strategies, and loan processing procedures. Your work directly contributes to enhancing customer experience while maintaining strong lending practices and supporting the objectives of the Collections organization.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a role requiring complex problem‑solving, ideally within lending or collections environments.
  • 2+ years of prior experience in audit, controls, or quality control (QC) is strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of lending products, loan processing, collections practices, and customer service principles.
  • High analytical accuracy with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Five9 and Reprise internal systems.
  • AI‑savvy and comfortable leveraging technology to strengthen processes.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and consensus‑building skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills with comfort working directly with project teams and senior leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements, manage competing priorities, and deliver consistent results.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to simplify complexity and operate effectively in ambiguous or evolving environments.

  • Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA, and process‑mapping tools.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure collection strategies, loan processing procedures, and customer experience initiatives to meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Keep lending and collections of policies and procedures current and aligned with evolving standards.
  • Serve as a liaison between operational teams, Compliance, and leadership on lending matters and audit activities.
  • Evaluate collection practices, loan workflows, and customer service standards to identify efficiency gains and reduce customer complaints.
  • Review servicing complaints and recommend proactive changes to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead change management efforts, ensuring updates are documented, and impacts across related processes are clearly defined.
  • Conduct internal transaction testing and oversee testing for third‑party suppliers.
  • Perform audits to validate control effectiveness and risk‑mitigation strategies.
  • Manage internal and external audit deliverables, including preparing for exams and coordinating responses.
  • Review and report on quality assurance results, identifying trends and areas for remediation.
  • Partner with leadership to complete risk assessments, track remediation efforts, and monitor control performance.
  • Help design and maintain reporting, dashboards, and metrics related to operational controls and lending processes.
  • Build strong relationships across all lending departments and support functions to ensure aligned, seamless operations.
  • Develop clear communication materials, documentation, and presentations for leadership.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives that improve operational controls and enhance customer experience.
