About The Position

Responsible for oversight, analytics and implementation of all financial and accounting functions for TPS USA, Arlington plant. The Controller position functions primarily as a business partner for plant and financial management but is also required to be hands-on and highly interactive with operations & commercial leadership as well as with Division, corporate finance and external audit firms. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Direct the activities of the accounting department (in accordance with GAAP guidelines) including personnel assignments, month end close, budgets, forecasts, and continuous improvement programs within the department. Coordinate accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions. · Review and approval of daily/monthly over-time revenue recognition. · Direct and approves the payroll activity in the Finance Department. · Ensure timely, accurate submission of all corporate reporting requirements. · Monthly completion of variance analysis, evaluation of financial performance and identification of cost over-runs or cost reduction opportunities including product costing, department budgets and inventory value. · Maintain actual costing system and internal controls. · Participate in the implementation of the SAP ERP system · Support to other departments to facilitate process improvements as related to info systems and business process reporting. · Participate & contribute as member of the plant management staff including decision making, policy development, strategic planning and plant functions or presentations. · Develop, through team participation, methods and procedures to increase productivity and improve service. Requirements

  • Fluent in computer use of MRP or SAP software packages.
  • Fluent using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access.
  • Experience with using Power BI
  • Ability to analyze situations and react in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Excellent verbal, writing and people skills.
  • Have a “can-do” attitude and not be afraid to “roll their sleeves up” if the business/team(s) require it.
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting or a finance field required.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in operational accounting required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands on experience utilizing a computerized MRP system such as SAP.

Nice To Haves

  • Five years supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
