We are currently hiring for a Controller to support our High Growth Entrepreneurial client base. The Controller serves as the outsourced accounting leader for one or more of our clients. This role will partner with other team members in the firm to provide personalized support. The perfect candidate has proven experience and success in Controller level accounting experience. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles
- Advanced Excel and modeling skills (pivots, lookups, complex formulas, and macro capability)
- Strong accounting & finance knowledge and experience (month/year-end close, general ledger, financial systems, financial reporting, consolidations, cash flow modeling, reconciliations, AR, AP etc.)
Nice To Haves
- Public or private accounting/consulting experience
- Multiple industry experience
- Private equity and/or mergers & acquisitions experience
- Experience in a mix of accounting and finance roles
- Experience with a variety of software
Responsibilities
- Oversight and management of all accounting operations including accounting, financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, consolidating financials, etc.
- Maintaining a system of controls to ensure that assets are used appropriately
- Maintains general ledger, reconciliations, and prepare balance sheet
- Review of monthly financial statements and KPIs
- Month-end and year-end close processing and work papers
- Quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Develop and implement process improvements to help streamline business operations
- Analyze financial data and expenses
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts
- Perform ad hoc projects and additional accounting duties as needed to support the client
