About The Position

One of our valued global manufacturing clients in the Wood Dale area is seeking a Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, audit preparation, cash management, and month-end close activities. This is a high-visibility leadership role supporting both U.S. operations and international headquarters reporting , ideal for a hands-on accounting leader who thrives in structured environments and enjoys owning the numbers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
10+ years of accounting leadership or Controller-level experience
Strong background in month-end close, consolidations, and audit preparation
Advanced financial systems experience, ideally SAP
Strong understanding of cash flow, reconciliations, and internal controls
Excellent communication skills with ability to support international corporate reporting
Strong leadership presence with a positive, team-oriented approach
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

Lead all monthly financial reporting, consolidations, and close activities
Prepare and submit monthly reporting packages to global headquarters
Own PBC schedules and audit support for internal and external auditors
Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash entries
Monitor daily cash position and banking activity
Oversee ACH, wire transfers, check approvals, and cash controls
Run and distribute monthly financial reporting in SAP
Prepare inventory and fixed asset reporting
Support quarterly forecasting, royalties, credit risk requests, and compliance signatures
Lead and develop the accounting team while improving reporting accuracy and timelines
