About The Position

We are seeking a Miami-based finance leader to oversee and elevate the agency’s financial operations. This role will own end-to-end accounting functions including GL, AP/AR, payroll, revenue recognition, and month-end close, while producing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. You will lead external audits, ensure GAAP compliance, and serve as the primary liaison for auditors and tax partners. With strong NetSuite expertise, you’ll optimize systems, improve automation and reporting, and build scalable processes to support continued growth. Partnering closely with Operations and Account teams, you will oversee project accounting, WIP, utilization, margin analysis, and revenue recognition aligned to agency contracts and retainers. This role also supports budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and executive reporting—bringing strategic financial insight that helps leadership make smart, forward-looking decisions in a fast-paced, high-growth agency environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
  • Has led or been a key driver in at least one full financial audit.
  • Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite.
  • Based in Miami, FL.

  • Experience in a marketing, advertising, creative, or professional services agency.
  • CPA or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in high-growth or PE-backed environments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, payroll, revenue recognition, and month-end close.
  • Produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and financial processes.
  • Lead and manage external financial audits from start to finish.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and all regulatory requirements.
  • Act as primary point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and external partners.
  • Own and optimize NetSuite (or lead ongoing implementation/improvements).
  • Improve automation, reporting dashboards, and financial workflows.
  • Build scalable processes to support agency growth.
  • Oversee project accounting, WIP, utilization, and margin analysis.
  • Partner with operations and account teams on forecasting and profitability.
  • Monitor revenue recognition aligned with agency contracts and retainers.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
  • Provide insights to leadership on performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Help prepare financials for board/investor presentations if applicable.
