About The Position

Seeking a strong Controller who will lead core accounting operations while helping modernize the finance function for a growing, mission-driven organization. In this role, you will: Oversee all accounting operations, including month-end close, AP/AR, payroll, grants, audit, and tax. Provide financial insight and partner closely with senior leadership on strategy, planning, and operational improvements. Ensure accurate, GAAP-compliant financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders. Lead process improvement initiatives, policy development, and systems optimization Develop reporting tools, dashboards, and metrics to support data-driven decisions. Manage and mentor the accounting team as the organization scales and evolves.

Requirements

• Experience in nonprofit, social impact, or mission-oriented environments
• CPA required
• 8+ years of progressive accounting leadership.
• NetSuite or comparable ERP experience
• Proven ability to lead change, strengthen processes, and modernize systems.
• Strong tenure and track record of stability.
