About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Controller for an exciting job in Richmond, VA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience (required).
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit processes.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage deadlines and support complex financial cycles.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred).
  • 5+ years of accounting experience with 1–2 years of supervisory experience; healthcare background strongly preferred.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff, including direct supervision of the Assistant Controller.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including workflow management, productivity standards, and performance outcomes.
  • Set and monitor departmental productivity and ensure timely completion of assigned responsibilities.
  • Promote a culture of open, transparent communication across finance and operational teams.
  • Support annual budgeting, cost reporting, audit preparation, and other financial deliverables under the direction of senior finance leadership.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to deadlines.
  • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts; resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Manage month-end close processes for the hospital and affiliated entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Recruit, train, evaluate, and develop team members to maintain high technical and service standards.
  • Maintain and enforce internal controls, including compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements.
  • Ensure timely completion of monthly balance sheet reviews and required financial attestations.
  • Safeguard financial integrity, accuracy of reporting, and the reliability of audit trails.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by senior financial leadership.
