About The Position

Position Summary: Reporting directly to the VP, Chief Accounting Officer, this role requires a highly motivated and experienced accounting professional with a proven track record overseeing global accounting operations. In this leadership role, you will develop and mentor your team, oversee ERP systems and controls, partner with other business functions on projects, and lead corporate initiatives towards process improvement and transformational projects to achieve best-in-class results. What you'll do: Establish and drive strategic vision and priorities for the company's core accounting functions and alignment with the company strategy. Lead continuous improvement efforts to existing processes through automation and partnership with cross-functional departments to increase productivity while maintaining a strong internal control environment. Oversee the US and Americas regions financial close process to ensure timely and accurate preparation and recording of financial transactions, account reconciliation, financial flux analysis, and schedules for management reporting, as well as supporting audit and other management requests. Develop and lead teams across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cost accounting for US and Americas regions, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for US and Americas regions. Identify automation opportunities and proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and execute scalable, transformational processes and support new business initiatives. Partner with management and cross-functional business partners to anticipate future business changes and challenges, proactively evaluate alternative courses of action and select optimal solutions. Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to teams, fostering career growth and development, including technical and presentation skills. Work with external auditors during quarterly, interim, and annual audits. Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed. Contribute to the success of the company by leading various projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the business and executive management.
  • Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
  • Self-directed and motivated to continuously improve processes to exceed customer expectations and promote a best-in-class organization.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment; strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of systems, technology, and business interfaces with financial systems.
  • Experience with automation, advanced analytics and/or artificial intelligence.
  • Consistent record of establishing relationships with cross-functional business partners.
  • A real passion for continuous improvement of systems and processes.
  • A leader who takes additional responsibilities as they progress and stays committed to providing an environment that fosters career growth and development for the team.
  • Positive attitude and open mindset; not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years in management and leadership roles with proven experience leading or being a key contributor to transformational changes.
  • Current CPA required.
  • Experience with SAP or other large ERP systems.

  • Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
