Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required
  • At least five (5) years of manufacturing finance experience, with three (3) years leading financial operations as a Controller.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proven ability to work with complex BOM structures, standard costing, and inventory transaction flows in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset with a track record of enhancing financial processes, strengthening controls, and improving operational visibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional credentials such as CPA, MBA, CMA, or CPIM are preferred.
  • Experience with IQMS and Cognos is helpful but not required.
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing or other regulated, high‑precision manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Advanced technical skills, including data mining and working with ERP systems; ERP implementation experience is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute all Controllership activities for the Sandy, UT facility.
  • Serve as a key member of the site leadership team by building strong cross‑functional partnerships and providing financial insight to support informed decision‑making.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for site and divisional leadership.
  • Collaborate with site and division leaders to support the development of monthly forecasts.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including preparation of financial statements, revenue and margin projections, capital expenditure plans, and headcount budgets.
  • Monitor and analyze revenues, margins, product costing, scrap, variances, and other key financial drivers to help “tell the story” and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with SPG and DuPont financial policies and procedures to maintain the highest levels of financial integrity.
  • Lead the implementation of the ERP Inventory module, ensuring accurate configuration and adoption.
  • Develop and maintain annual labor and overhead standards.
  • Perform inventory analysis and manage inventory reserve levels.
  • Manage full cycle month‑end close activities and financial reporting.
  • Provide support to internal and external auditors.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
