Sodexo is seeking an experienced Controller - Multi Unit, Multi-Service at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. Jackson Memorial Hospital is an accredited, non-profit, tertiary care hospital and the major teaching facility for the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. With more than 1,550 licensed beds, Jackson Memorial Hospital is a referral center, a magnet for medical research, and home to Ryder Trauma Center – the only adult and pediatric Level 1 trauma center in Miami-Dade County. This role ensures accuracy, transparency, and compliance with both Sodexo and JHS financial policies while driving process improvements and cost-control initiatives. The Controller will partner closely with operational leaders to analyze performance, identify efficiencies, and support strategic decision-making. Strong healthcare finance experience, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to manage complex, multi-entity financials are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  • Experience in financial management, accounting, or controller role—preferably within hospitality, foodservice, or multi-unit operations.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting controls.
  • Proven ability to manage complex financial functions across multiple units or service types.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to partner effectively with operational leaders and influence decision-making.
  • Proficiency with financial systems, tools, and reporting platforms.
  • Commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality service.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in finance, accounting or related field

Responsibilities

  • manage monthly, quarterly and annual accounting and reconciliation of the activities of current and future contracts as assigned per contract terms
  • conduct monthly analysis of financial performance of clients or suppliers
  • external clients for the contracts the analyst manages
  • conduct client or contract specific reporting and analysis
  • conduct ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed
