About The Position
Bo-Mac Contractors is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as the head of the accounting department. This position is crucial for overseeing all aspects of the company's accounting and internal control processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the general ledger, project accounting/job cost ledger, and revenue recognition using percent complete accounting. Additionally, the role includes overseeing payroll, accounts payable automation/document management, accounts receivable, fixed assets, sales and use tax, and working capital management. The individual will lead and provide direction to the financial/accounting department, ensuring that all financial operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. The head of accounting will also be responsible for the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements, effectively communicating the financial results to members of the management team. This role requires a partnership with the operational team to develop comprehensive monthly financial forecasts, including the annual detailed budget. The successful candidate will contribute to the company's strategic planning efforts and will be involved in performing special projects and completing all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
