About The Position
Your Part-Time Controller, LLC (YPTC) is a national leader in providing outsourced accounting services to nonprofit organizations. As the 5th fastest growing accounting firm in the US, we are seeking a talented Controller to join our team. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about working with nonprofit organizations and are looking for a dynamic opportunity to guide clients and provide transformative accounting services. The Controller will serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple nonprofit clients, transforming their financial departments to help them meet their mission. This role requires a hands-on approach, as the Controller will interact regularly with clients, their staff, Board of Directors, and Finance Committees, both virtually and on-site. The responsibilities of the Controller include financial reporting for management and Board decision-making, recommending and implementing improvements to accounting operations, internal controls, and compliance policies. The Controller will also handle transactional activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close. Additionally, the role involves analysis and data visualization, budgeting and forecasting, grant management, and preparing for and managing annual audits. Successful candidates must be comfortable managing multiple clients and be responsive in a timely manner, demonstrating strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with various GL packages, especially QuickBooks.
