About The Position

Works with other installers and independently, in the completion of installs and service calls. Requires excellent communication skills Self-motivated, task-driven, and able to apply “best practices” theory Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to create and execute in the field solutions Ability to use hand and power tools Some travel required Develop and maintain proficiency in the following areas: Since 2004, Hoppen Home Systems core competency has been providing superior customer service to our commercial and residential clients with the focus on the design and installation of integrated Home Systems and Commercial security systems. Our services include home theaters, lighting control, home automation, whole house audio/video, Burglar System, CCTV, and access control systems to name a few.

Requirements

• 1-3 years experience in Control4 programming and system setup
• 1-3 years experience installing, calibrating, whole house audio/video, home theaters, surround sound systems
• High level of customer interaction - Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly detailed, organized, and multitask driven
• Ability to work on rotating “on-call” service schedule
• Clean driving record and background check
• Minimum of 3 years of field experience

Nice To Haves

• 3-5 years experience in security systems: wiring, setup, programming, troubleshooting, setup monitoring services (Honeywell, DSC)
• 3-5 years experience in CCTV systems: wiring, design, setup, troubleshooting
• 3-5 years experience in structure wiring: cabling, terminations, testing

Responsibilities

• Complete complex audio/video installs, setup, and calibration
• Advanced troubleshooting of simple and complex systems
• Advanced networking/data system design, installation, and setup
• Complete programming of Control4 systems, including integrations
• Support of third-party products and systems
• Install and setup of shades, LED lighting, landscape lighting, etc
