As a Control Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and troubleshooting control systems and automation equipment. This position requires a skilled professional who is proficient in electrical systems, instrumentation, and troubleshooting techniques.   • Provide customer support by phone and onsite, resolving simple to complex issues with a variety of manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
  • Assemble and build electrical control panels.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Write service reports and other related documents.
  • Recommend parts for new installation or replacement purposes.
  • Modify programmable logic controller (PLC) programs.
  • Modify human-machine interface (HMI) programs.
  • Lead medium-sized projects with minimal supervision.
  • Respond to emergency service calls as directed during the day and after hours (on-call is a weekly shared/rotated responsibility).
  • Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Automated Manufacturing, or equivalent degree/experience.
  • 3-7 years’ experience programming, installing, configuring Rockwell Automation CompactLogix/ControlLogix PLCs.
  • 3-7 years’ experience with Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk ME/SE HMIs.
  • 3-7 years’ experience with Rockwell Automation Powerflex variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical machine issues.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel including using functions.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word creating instruction manuals.
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of industry standards, specifically NFPA 79, NEC, and UL508A.
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation SLC500 PLCs.
  • Experience with servos.
  • Experience with DC Drives.
  • Experience with Siemens and other brands of PLCs.
  • Experience configuring and programming SCADA systems such as Ignition, Wonderware, FactoryTalk SE.
  • Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics.
