About The Position

If you are an experienced Project Management professional looking for an opportunity to grow within a global organization, Emerson has a great opportunity for you! As a Control Systems Project Manager - Life Sciences, you will join the team responsible for execution of DeltaV projects focused on the Life Sciences industries up to $20M in value within Emerson’s Systems and Software business leader in the process automation industry. You can be based in one of our engineering center offices in Houston, TX, Bluebell, PA, Durham, NC, Round Rock, TX, or St. Louis, MO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience working on control system projects with at least 5 of those years in Life Science.
  • 5+ years as a Project Manager.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex projects involving scope, financials, schedule, risk, quality, and customer relationships.
  • Ability to travel to client and other Emerson locations up to 25% of the time.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum project execution.
  • Familiarity with DeltaV systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks in collaboration with the project team and customers.
  • Lead projects to achieve cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
  • Communicate and manage project changes that impact cost and/or schedule with customers.
  • Contribute to proposal development by estimating project management and controls efforts, creating preliminary schedules, defining execution strategies, and performing risk assessments.
