About The Position

FutureFuel Chemical Company is looking for a new member for our electrical and control maintenance team. Control System Maintenance (CSM) Mechanics work under the supervision of a team manager and perform a wide variety of skilled maintenance work related to the installation and repair of plant instrumentation and electrical equipment. CSMs work with peers to manage the day-to-day needs of the clients in the assigned area of responsibility. Using electrical single line drawings, schematic diagrams, the National Electric Code, Process Industry Practices, and Standard Engineering Practices associated with Control Systems Maintenance (CSM) work and equipment, CSMs perform a wide variety of electrical, electronic, and instrumentation work as well as performing limited mechanical tasks. Because most documentation for electrical equipment and instrumentation, work orders, process change orders, and cost systems is maintained electronically, this position requires the use of SAP system and internal computer databases to enter and retrieve data daily. CSMs work in elevated locations, confined spaces, and extremes in ambient temperatures and must wear FR Clothing. This is a safety sensitive position. CSMs must satisfactorily pass a respirator fit test and be capable of working near rotating and moving machinery. CSMs agree to enter a DOL licensed apprenticeship program managed by FutureFuel with the majority of study being conducted on their own (non-paid) time. Progress reviews documenting job growth, performance, and attendance will be conducted at 16-week intervals. After approximately 18 months, CSMs are required to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule 3-4 months a year.
