HDR is looking for a Control Systems Integration Team Lead who will have responsibility for participating in and overseeing individuals involved in programming, testing, implementing and commissioning control systems as designed. They will be responsible for coordination of the control system with the Design team, Construction team, and Client.

  • Assist the Instrumentation and Controls Business Class Lead with management of the overall section by being the direct supervisor of a team of control integration staff of varying degrees of experience.
  • Provide team leadership with a focus on technical excellence, quality, recruiting, mentoring and staff development.
  • Function as a Project Manager and assist in responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities.
  • Assist with administrative responsibility for business class staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other business classes.
  • Be involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviews.
  • Be directly involved with clients in marketing, project production and related issues.
  • Assist in ensuring that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system.
  • Implement, monitor, and support company policy.
  • Assist in the selection, training, development, and management of technical personnel.
  • Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts.
  • Program the project control system as defined by the project scope - SCADA, PLC, HMI, Historian, Communications hardware, etc.
  • Manage project tasks within scope budget and schedule.
  • Coordinate with Design, Construction and Start-up team leader for project control system.
  • Download, test and document control system programs and communication systems as defined in scope.
  • Participate in field testing and commissioning of the control system.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
  • Be willing to travel as necessary; duration of travel and frequency of travel will depend on project needs.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years experience.
  • Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Good leadership and organizational skills.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Computer Engineering. Associate Degree in Engineering with appropriate experiences will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience for degree or 7 years for associate degree in process control system programming - Supervisory Controls and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's), Human Machine Interface (HMI), Operator Interface Terminals (OIT's), Industrial communication networks set up and testing and assistance in start-up and commissioning.
  • Experience working in the water and wastewater facilities, Oil Gas industry, Power generation and Distribution, Mining and other industrial facilities.
  • Proven track record in programming leadership as well as the ability to develop and implement standard engineering practices, as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completion.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Local candidates are preferred.
